Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to DocuResume at https://docuresume.com, our APIs, the DocuResume Chrome extension, and the Artist Atelier account connection and portfolio sync features (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, connecting Artist Atelier, accepting these Terms on our connect or sign-in pages, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy at https://docuresume.com/privacy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

DocuResume helps you build and tailor resumes and CVs (including artist CVs), score fit against job descriptions, track applications, browse job-market trends, autofill applications through our Chrome extension, and sync selected works from Artist Atelier into your DocuResume profile.

Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue functionality with reasonable notice when practical.

Artist Atelier may open DocuResume’s connect page so you can sign in with Google or Apple and authorize sync of selected works and related portfolio materials into your DocuResume account.

If you do not already have a DocuResume account, one is created automatically with the sign-in method you choose. Account details, profile editing, and CV export remain available at docuresume.com.

You are responsible for only syncing works and materials you have the right to use. Syncing does not transfer ownership of your artwork to DocuResume.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. One person may not maintain multiple free accounts to evade usage limits.

When you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, we store a consent record on your profile (acceptance time, policy version, and source). You may be asked to accept again if we publish a material update.

DocuResume offers Free and Pro plans. Pro is billed via a $3 7-day trial (then monthly), monthly, or quarterly through Stripe unless otherwise stated at checkout. Quarterly billing is discounted (~17% off vs three monthly payments). AU/NZ see AUD (A$18/mo · A$45/qtr); most APAC markets see SGD (S$15/mo · S$38/qtr); Japan sees JPY (¥1,800/mo · ¥4,500/qtr). Checkout shows prices for your location.

Free includes limited monthly AI usage (for example, resume uploads and tailoring). Pro includes higher quotas as described on the Account page.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancel anytime from Account → Billing; access to paid quotas continues through the end of the current billing period.

Prices may change with notice. Quota counts reset each billing period. We may enforce limits to protect service quality.

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• Upload malware or content you do not have the right to use.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our systems without permission.
• Share account credentials or resell access without authorization.
• Misrepresent AI-generated content as guaranteed factual or submit it without review.
• Use job data to harass employers or individuals.
• Sync or upload artwork or portfolio materials you do not own or lack permission to use.

You retain ownership of resumes, CVs, artwork, portfolio materials, and other content you submit or sync. You grant us a limited license to host, process, display, and transform that content solely to provide the Service (including AI-assisted rewriting, PDF export, and Artist Atelier sync).

You represent that you have the rights to upload, sync, and use your content, including any profile photos, artwork, or third-party materials you include.

AI scores, suggestions, and tailored bullets are provided for assistance only. They may be incomplete or incorrect.

You are solely responsible for reviewing all output before using it in job applications or public materials.

Job listings and salary trends come from our JobHive employer dataset and AI estimates. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

The Chrome extension interacts with third-party career sites. Your use of those sites is governed by their own terms and policies.

Sign-in with Google or Apple is subject to those providers’ terms. Artist Atelier is a separate application; your use of it is also subject to its own terms where applicable.

DocuResume, our branding, software, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or underlying code except as needed to use the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that using DocuResume will result in interviews or job offers.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCURESUME AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if continued provision poses risk to the Service or other users.

Sections that by nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and indemnification) will survive.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected on https://docuresume.com/terms with an updated date. Where we require renewed consent, continued use after you accept the updated Terms constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where DocuResume operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
